Pre-School & Children

Teaching children basic truths through bible stories, crafts, music and hands on group activities. Our goal is to provide a fun and exciting environment that will provide the opportunity for children to take the first steps of faith. You can get involved by volunteering with one of the following teams:

Pre-school Teacher (Birth – K)
Oversees the group of children in the assigned class. Leads in the lesson and other activities to make it the greatest hour in a child’s week.
Pre-school Assistant Teacher
Assists the teacher in the lesson and activities.
Small Group Leader (Children grades 1-5)
Oversees a small group of kids. Build relationships, lead in the lesson and activities making it the greatest hour in a child’s week.
Small Group Assistant
Assist the small group leader.
Large Group Host (Children grades 1-5)
Creatively communicate the weeks lesson and how it applies to the life of a child. Interact with the children from the stage as you lead them through the various parts of the service.
Large Group Co-Host
Assist the Host from the stage as needed.

Students

Working with students will change your life! Encouraging students to begin a relationship with Jesus, helping them live it out and seeing them understand what a life on the FlipSide is all about. FlipSide refers to living life opposite to what the world says - Living Life on the FlipSide!

Opportunities to Serve:

Thursday Nights: 7pm - FlipSide
Thursday nights are the anchor of our student ministry. We have games, lessons, fellowship and all this requires quite a bit of preparation and set up. You can help with leading games, set up, break down, or teaching. If you have a heart for students, this is where you start! If you are interested in serving, complete the form and our Student Pastor will contact you and together you will discern the best fit for you!!

First Impressions

When people come to South Palm Community Church, they come into contact with numerous volunteer teams that are all there to make sure their experience is great. Within the first 10 minutes of their visit, we want our guests to say “Wow! I’m impressed.” We want them to know that they are important to us by creating an accepting, inviting and safe environment for them to take their next step toward Christ.

Greeters
A smile is a universal language. Be one of the first smiles our new guests receive when they come to South Palm. Assist people on Sunday mornings by handing out programs and helping guests navigate their way through the church.
Ushers
The ushers are vital in ensuring the smooth flow of the Sunday service. As an usher you help guests find a seat as they come in, collect the offering, and are on alert to assist whenever needed
Campus Guides
If you love interacting with new faces, this is for you. Rather than pointing someone in a direction, it is so much friendlier to actually take them. Campus Guides take first time guests to where they need to go and answer any questions they may have.
Connection Courtyard
This is the place where you can get connected. Get all upcoming Event information, our Beach Baptisms or get plugged into a Small Group. You can register for these events at the Connection Tent, Stop by and enjoy a cup of coffee or ask any questions you may have.

Worship Arts Team
We strive to present excellence, passion and the gospel in a relevant and compelling way as it is stated in our purpose statement above with our church vision and values. We bring energy, team work and positive attitudes to every weekend service, this is what makes the worship experience exciting and worth sharing.

Tech Arts Team
We honor God with focus and detail in this area of ministry, we look for leaders and thinkers, we require a great attitude of "fun-ness" and lots of team work ethic, these area's of ministry require some knowledge that can be taught but all that is required is an attitude of learning and growing.

So, where will you make your mark as a leader?

Parking

Making a first impression on our guests and congregation starts in our parking lot. Our parking team has a great time helping everyone find a place to park and ensuring the safety of every person. We will equip you with a radio and a vest and you will have the privilege of working with a team that knows how to have fun and make our parking lot a safe place at the same time. Serving times are 8:45-9:45AM & 10:15-11:15AM Sundays.

Custodial

We have over 60,000 sq.ft. to care for and would be grateful for your service. Whether you like to vacuum, clean windows, organize shelves, clean bathrooms, offices or the auditorium, we have a place for you to serve on just about every day of the week. You can stop by the main office to check our daily cleaning schedule anytime or please sign up to be on a rotation by sending us an email of your available times and days.

Daytime Office/Special Projects

Are you available to help during the day? Whether you enjoy answering phones, making copies, weekend program prep, working on special projects or making phone calls, we have many opportunities in our administrative offices for you.
